The single story
It's a bit long but it is enthralling. So take your time to listen and digest what she is saying. I think it is so apt especially with the way so many of us spout stuff about Haiti oblivious to the fact that a coin is many sided. That is the danger of the single story

This video is going around. She has a great point, I think all of grew up pretending to be white. So few of us had access to alternative, local thought. Great reminder that truth and reality are relative.
I just had one of the greatest epiphanies of my life...this needs to be broadcast on national TV or the script printed in the newspaper. It is too powerful to be limited to here.
