Horror in Pakistan

I woke up this morning to the shocking news that the Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by terrorists in Pakistan. I don't profess to know much about the situation in Pakistan but I never expected a cricket team to be a target for violence. Call me naive because this one certainly caught me by surprise.

The cricketing terrorism that I know is usually some team inflicting blows on another. Then the weapons of choice are usually a red shiny ball and a wooden bat. Today, the terrorists introduced a new element-the gun. My heart goes out to the families of those who died in the attacks and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured cricketers.

Sadly, Pakistan days as a cricketing host may well be ended.

I agree with you.

It is very uncomfortable for me to realize that terrorism is changing every aspect of our lives.

Pakistan is very high on the avoid list with this occurrence being so close on the heels of the Mombai attack

...vmc

Pakistan is so out of control now

Is this for real! Something like this has never happened to the sporting world in such a long time! terrorism knows no bounds, sympathy goes out to the families.

This is my first time on your blog. I will be back. Stay fabulous. It keeps 'em guessing.

Absolutely crazy, if it had been the Indian team, it would have meant war....craziness...

...and the impact this will have for sports as event tourism all over the world. Nasty terrorists dont seem to care where and when they hit.
