Good times
Good Times.
Any time you meet a payment.
Good Times.
Any time you need a friend.
Good Times.
Any time you're out from under.
Not getting hastled, not getting hustled.
Keepin' your head above water,
Making a wave when you can.
Temporary lay offs.
Good Times.
Easy credit rip offs.
Good Times.
Thanks to TVland's Weekend marathon I just can't get this jingle out my head. It's a great jingle though, one of my all time favourites. But unfortunately it is stuck in my head after watching too many episodes on Sunday night in particular.
Catching up with some of these episodes made me realise that despite the over the top JJ antics it was a pretty good show for that time.A lot of serious issues like child abuse, the lure of illegal activities as a means to escape poverty, the realities of being unemployed and the constant threat of eviction.Despite it all the family stuck together and worked out their problems in their own style. One of my gripes was killing off the father which somehow made the show less powerful due to the absence of a father figure.
How do I get this jingle out my head?

Yes back then (in the 70's) the black shows were funny, but yet still quite "preachy". Wish Janet was in that pic, she was such a cute little girl!
To get the jingle out, replace it with something worse. How 'bout: "I like big BUTTS and I cannot lie. Those other brothers can't deny...."
I had a cogent, well thought out comment all set and ready to go now thanks to a certain someone its all "I like big butts" in there. *chupse*
